Championing an experimental technique never attempted before, Tharsis Sleeps is an animated short film created from over 3000 embroidered denim frames.
Born from a passion for 70's heavy metal, the embroidered animation project was inspired by customizing denim jackets and embroidered band patches.
Using over 45 million stitches into 200 meters of denim, Tharsis Sleeps is a psychedelic, extra terrestrial mission to terraform Mars. Follow 3 astronauts as they travel through the depths of space to heat up the red planet by planting a nuclear bomb into its largest volcanoes.
